Volunteer facilitators at Starlight Ministries are the hands and feet of Jesus walking with participants on their grief journey. Starlight Ministries equips facilitators with skills to support children, teen, and adult groups. Facilitators use Starlight Ministries Mourning Star Grief Curriculum, an easy-to-follow guide to encourage participants to explore their own thoughts and feelings about death and Hope for the future.
If you are 18+ and have a passion for sharing the Hope of Christ to children and families who are grieving a death loss, we welcome you to complete the online application below. Starlight Ministries peer-to-peer support groups are 6-week units, 4 times a year. We encourage an initial commitment of two 6-week units.
Once per session, we like to invite our participants to enjoy a meal together before group. Your family, group, or organization can help provide this meal! Contact Barb at barb@starlightmin.org for more information or to sign up.
Several times per year, we could use help with mailings and various other office projects. Contact Mary at mary@starlightmin.org to be added to the list of volunteers we can contact when help is needed.
